Strategic Partnerships

Two Assets for Intraday Market Research

The Intra-Day Momentum Method™ and WSW address the same foundational research problem from two complementary directions.

IDMM is a specific, Open-anchored methodology for defining and measuring intraday behavior. WSW is the event-based research architecture designed to investigate market behavior beyond fixed-timeframe assumptions.

Does the Behavior Actually Exist?

Market participants often begin with a chart pattern, indicator, or trading setup before establishing whether the underlying behavior is mathematically persistent.

Conventional intraday software typically aggregates market data into fixed timeframes before the analysis begins. That structure can determine how events are segmented, what information is preserved, and what the researcher is able to measure.

QAT Systems began with a different objective: define market behavior mathematically, measure what follows, and establish whether a suspected tendency exists before attempting to trade it.

One Research Mission. Two Commercial Paths.

The methodology and the software platform are related, but each can be evaluated, licensed, developed, and commercialized on its own terms.

Methodology

The Intra-Day Momentum Method™

A computer-implemented mathematical framework that uses the session Open and statistically derived price-distance structure to study intraday direction.

  • Establishes fixed intraday structure from the session Open
  • Measures occurrence, direction, continuation, reversal, progression, and failure
  • Supports comparison across days, instruments, and defined conditions
  • Backed by historical studies and ongoing public research
Patent status U.S. Patent Application No. 18/775,412 received a Notice of Allowance in August 2026 and remains patent pending until issuance.
Research Platform

WSW Research Architecture

An event-based software environment created to test raw intraday data without making a fixed timeframe the analytical foundation.

  • Defines and detects market behavior as mathematical events
  • Separates entry, profit-target, and stop-loss research engines
  • Preserves individual day and event results for later analysis
  • Supports post-test filtering without rebuilding every experiment
Development status An existing working system and demonstration establish the architecture. Modernization is the next development stage.

IDMM Is the Methodology. WSW Is the Research Infrastructure.

The Intra-Day Momentum Method demonstrates what becomes possible when intraday behavior is organized around mathematically defined structure. WSW expands the opportunity from one methodology into a reusable environment for testing many market hypotheses.

Potential Partnership Paths

The appropriate structure depends on the organization, research objective, technical environment, and desired level of involvement.

01

Focused Research Pilot

Evaluate defined IDMM events, outcomes, and tendencies across an agreed instrument universe and historical period.

02

Methodology Licensing

Explore licensing or integrating the patent-pending methodology within an existing research, analytics, or trading environment.

03

WSW Modernization

Modernize the existing WSW architecture, data workflow, research engines, database, interface, and deployment model.

04

Joint Platform Development

Develop broader institutional research capabilities around event definition, component testing, data mining, and visualization.

Organizations Positioned to Evaluate the Work

The opportunity is intended for organizations that understand the cost and value of rigorous market research.

  • Proprietary trading firms and quantitative research groups
  • Fintech companies and institutional analytics platforms
  • Family offices and investment research organizations
  • Market-data, research-infrastructure, and trading-technology firms

Evaluate the Research and the Assets

QAT Systems is seeking serious conversations with organizations capable of evaluating the methodology, supporting a focused research pilot, or participating in the modernization and commercialization of WSW.

QAT Systems provides quantitative market research and research technology. It does not provide individualized investment advice, trade recommendations, or account management.
